Quran Alias is a Quran vocabulary and memorisation game for iOS. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used.

1. Data We Collect

• Account information – If you sign up with email and password, we store your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in with Apple ID or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, optionally, your name.
• Display name – A name you choose to display in the app, stored securely on our servers.
• Usage analytics – Anonymous event data (e.g. screens viewed, game rounds started, cards swiped) collected to help us improve the app. This data does not identify you personally.
• Local game data – Your surah selections, memorisation progress, and scores are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and are never uploaded to our servers.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect payment information.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not collect your location.
• We do not serve advertisements.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To authenticate you and maintain your account across devices.
• To understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
• To allow you to personalise your display name and app preferences.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Apple Sign In (Apple Inc.) – Optional sign-in method. Apple Privacy Policy
• Google Sign In (Google LLC) – Optional sign-in method. Google Privacy Policy

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen inside the app. Upon deletion, your account and all associated data are permanently removed.

6. Children's Privacy

Quran Alias is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

7. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access or update your display name inside the app.
• Delete your account from the Profile screen (permanent and immediate).
• Contact us to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.

8. Security

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely. Passwords are hashed and never visible to us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
